Jean Rodgers was born and raised in a suburb of Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and worked for several years in both pediatrics and labor and delivery as a Registered Nurse. In 2001, she earned a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program. Upon graduation she spent many years at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas working in both orthopedics and trauma until joining Coastal Children’s Clinic. She has had training as a lactation consultant and has a special interest in breast-feeding and pediatric obesity. Jean lives with her husband and two children in New Bern. She enjoys staying fit through bicycling, running, reading, and watching her children grow.  Ms. Jean serves patients from Craven County such as Vanceboro, Grantsboro, Ernul, Dover and Cove City in the New Bern Office and Beaufort, Newport and Morehead City in our Havelock Office.
